Who We Are

Rooted in Care, Growing with You

Waranga Medical Centre was founded to close the gap between accessible local care and high-quality clinical expertise.
Our story began with a simple vision: to keep families in the Waranga region healthy, supported, and fully informed—without the need to travel long distances for essential medical services.

From the very start, our team set out to create a clinic where genuine compassion meets modern medicine. We designed a purpose-built facility that offers everything from preventive screenings to chronic disease management, ensuring patients of all ages receive consistent, evidence-based care close to home every day.

We keep growing with the community, adding services and specialists for care close to home.

Our Story

Waranga Drive Medical Centre

For over a decade, 6–10 Waranga Drive Medical Centre in Kialla was home to the Tristar Medical Clinic, a purpose-built super clinic that provided bulk-billed GP care to thousands across Greater Shepparton.
The Tristar Chapter Opened in 2011, the Kialla Tristar clinic was designed to deliver 100% bulk-billed care and became a cornerstone of the local health system.
In 2022, the clinic closed following the nationwide collapse of the Tristar Medical Group. This was not due to the Kialla clinic itself, but the unsustainable financial model of the broader organisation — stagnant Medicare rebates, rising costs, and workforce challenges ultimately led to its downfall.
Its closure left thousands of patients without a GP, placed additional strain on other local practices, and removed an important access point for affordable healthcare.
For the community, this was more than the closure of a building — it was the loss of a trusted healthcare home.
A New Beginning

Local Doctors Revive the Clinic

The revival of Waranga Drive Medical Centre began in the most ordinary way — as a dinner table conversation. Two local doctor couples — Dr Arvind Sahu and Dr Shubhra Bhattacharya, and Dr Aayush Attri and Dr Shruti Gaur — were sharing a meal as family friends when the idea surfaced: what if we brought the clinic back to life?

What began as a casual discussion soon grew into a shared mission. With their combined medical experience, strong community ties, and a united vision, the two couples undertook the task of restoring the site to its original purpose — a place of healing, accessibility, and trust.

Their vision was clear: to create a locally owned, doctor-led, community-focused clinic where healthcare is not a privilege, but a right.

Designed for the Community

Conveniently located opposite Kialla Gardens (Banksia Lodge), the centre has ample free parking and a welcoming design. From everyday GP care to specialist support, the clinic is built with the community’s needs at its heart.

Waranga Drive Medical Centre Today

Innovating for You

Looking Forward

The opening of Waranga Drive Medical Centre is more than the return of a medical service — it is a community milestone. From a spark of conversation at the dinner table to a fully realised project, two local doctor families have come together to bring healthcare back to where it belongs: with the people of Kialla and Greater Shepparton.

Your health is our priority — because care should never have a financial barrier.
